Design Solution
Strengths
You know what it is straight away, and imagery is very appropriate. Colour green works really well for the 'First Aid'. Giving specific tips and advice which is very useful but also comical at the same time.
'First Aid For Students' works well. research informs the content. It's compact and easy to carry around. Easy to understand and good comedic element in the context.
Areas For Improvement
Illustrations could include colour?
Consider the craft of the box and the stock your printing onto.
Design Context
Strengths
well researched and obviously influenced by experience in Leeds so far. Illustrations link well with the information and the categories work really well too. Very clear and works as s set, easy to understand and follow.
Lots of relevant research - lots of supportive survey responses. Nice humour element added from the survey.
Areas For Improvement
More spread out content on the research, style and format board. make sure that its all up to date on presentation boards. Consider font size on presentation boards.
Maybe a fold out map would work well to go with the booklets to show where all the key places are?
Presentation
Strengths
Clear, and not too much information. Imagery completely relevant. Great logo development.
Texture on the box works well (even if its not meant to be there). Hot-Dog booklet is relevant to publication styles in the first year and the format is a great size.
Additional Comments
First years would definitely benefit from this. I wish i had this at the start of the year!
Box width could be thinner and red could be relevant to 'You Must Read This'?
I will take all the final comments i received on board before making final alterations to this project.
